I’ve been invited to a lot of fashion shows lately. Last week, the much awaited Philippine Fashion Week opened with SM Ladies Fashion and Parisian. It was a school night but I just had to go and see for myself what the Holiday collection had in store for everyone. Again, I was excited and curious to see what SM Ladies Fashion has come up with. Just like me, anxious people were waiting outside Hall 3 of the SMX at Mall of Asia. Philippine Fashion week is such a big thing it was amazing to see a wide variety of styles and how people put together outfits.
As we were allowed to go inside, I thought of one thing, the place was huge! Unlike Forever 21 with only two rows, there we loads of elevated seats. The ramp itself was very grand and it was made pitch black, probably to add attention to the clothes. Not to mention the lights were fantastic! I don’t know how they projected a 3D screen showing all sorts of stuff but it was awesome. I was lucky enough to sit in the front row, blogger privilege I suppose. Emee a good friend and tween blogger as well was right beside me and we both had a very clear view of the models. I was able to see all the details just as I like it.
As I watched each model come out with collections from SM LAdies Fashion, I had the summer vibes within me. Oh how I wish it was summer! I can’t wait for my school year to end. If you’ve been following my blog you most likely know that school has not ended for me and summer break is just about to start. Back to the fashion show, the first collection that was showcased had bold colors and patterns more of a corporate or office look if I may add. The colors were still related to summer with some looking very nautical But to be honest I don’t see myself wearing them. Maybe it’s because I’m 13! With that said, I would buy them to give as gifts for my titas who are all working already. As for me, I especially loved the swimsuits and resort dresses. The prints and color combinations were so eye-catching that I felt like rushing to the SM Store to grab a few pieces for myself. I love the resort pants, its soft material flowing gently as the models strut the runway just made me feel refreshed. It was an excellent option for people who do not like wearing shorts to the beach.

The night wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t find the perfect to wear. When going to big events like fashion week, I like adding unexpected twists to my outfits. Looking at the people around you, they’re all dressed up in unique ways. I love the black and white trend but there always has to be a pop of color. I chose a black skirt to put over a black and white Aztec dress and pink heels for that twist. And when I turn around… POW! There’s that unexpected something I wanted. I love how the designer of the dress didn’t go with plain black stripes but neon pink ones instead. I am terrible at fixing my hair. Luckily my mom is always there to fix it for me. She wanted to try out a new braid called the water fall braid. I believe it added youth to my outfit, I’m not ready to grow up!

I had such a great time watching the fashion show. I saw some old faces who modeled in the forever 21 fashion show and I met a very friendly model named also Riana 🙂 I also saw a few faces from Showbiz. Thank you again to SM Ladies fashion for inviting us and Maribel Ocampo who assisted our team. It was such a great show. Clap Clap!
Head over to the nearest SM Store now. I’m certain you will find something you like that will complete that perfect outfit you dream of. No one goes home empty handed from the store that has it all!
