As promised, here’s more from Boracay.
You probably already know my friend Yanna, the photographer behind the instagram account @_colormesunshine_. She along with two of my other friends Mica and Julia went to Boracay the same time I was there. It’s great seeing your school friends somewhere out of school and better yet, somewhere out of town.
The first day I was there, they came over to Shangri-La to see me. They couldn’t stay for long so what did we do? Go to the adventure zone! A lot of people know Shangri-La for having crazy play grounds and the massive slide. Whoever said that this place was just for little kids is definitely mistaken. We tweens still enjoy these kinds of things.
Good thing we were allowed to use the facilities even without long sleeves. We only went on two things: the small slide, where you race each other and see who gets to the bottom first and the big slide, where you go down alone. It’s pretty nerve-racking when you’re on top, but once you slide down it’s not bad after all. My friends had to leave early but it was alright, I was able to see them the next day anyways.
They stayed at Yanna’s treehouse and I was lucky enough to sleep there for my second night. Isn’t the view just breath-taking?
That afternoon we all rode a golf car to get some crazy crepes. I think all of us like eating so much that we didn’t mind going all the way to d’mall just to eat.
Back at Yanna’s place, we made it just in time for sunset which was perfect for silhouette pictures. Even before the trip Yanna told me that she wanted to take a few, so we did. But as you can see we took a lot of pictures!

I had to painfully hold my stretches, got my bags dirty and got my shorts wet but it was okay, the photos turned out great. Julia and Mica were taking pictures as well, whether if it was the sun or pictures of each other, everyone was either taking photographs or modeling.
The ‘photoshoot’ came to an end as the sun faded. I was surprised that we slept at twelve, not too late for a sleepover if you ask me. A light dinner, night swimming and talking to Yanna’s little sister got us tired and fast asleep. I left early that morning to spend time with my family. Nonetheless, I had an incredible time with my friends and hopefully I get to do that again sometime.
