Even if my summer break is in June, I decided to share some clothing pieces and accessories that I would wear to the beach. If there’s one thing I’m afraid of when I start swimming, that is the SUN. It’s not fun to get sunburned or have obvious tan marks when you leave the beach. If you ask me, I just don’t want to get dark. 🙂
Any loose clothes prevents me from getting those awful tan marks. A romper or dress is easy to slip on and off before or after swimming. I actually like wearing lighter colors when I go to the beach because it makes me happy and it also reflects heat. Hair out of your face keeps you fresh all day so a high bun or a ponytail of some sort would do the trick.
When I went to the beach I forgot to bring a long-sleeved rash top and that is my number one essential when I go. Rash tops aren’t heavy on you and it covers your whole upper body except your hands and face. Since I didn’t have a rash top, I improvised. I hugged myself with a big piece of cloth (which I think is called a sarong if I am not mistaken) and it’s just as good except you can’t swim with it!
My mom encourages my brothers and I to wear big hats. They cover and protect your face from the sun. Just recently I started liking floppy beach hats. To pair with my hat, were some sunglasses. Square framed sunglasses work for me but it’s different for everyone. I learned that the frame can’t look like it’s the same shape as your face. Wearing sunnies protects my eyes and makes me feel like a celebrity who doesn’t want to sign autographs :). Sometimes, sunglasses can leave a tan mark so I make sure I’m not wearing them for too long.
Beaches are one of my favorite places to go to because fashion is whole different story. I’m glad I’m living in such a tropical country.
