H&M- only the most well-known clothing brand in the world. There’s not a single person I know who doesn’t like H&M. There’s a range of items to choose from that suits everyone. So when I found out I was invited to the VIP opening party, I was extremely excited! Thanks to H&M Philippines and my mentor, tita Patty Betita for making it happen. I’m sure a lot of people have already seen a glimpse of the three-floor store at SM Megamall, but if you haven’t, here’s what it looks like.
Two of the floors are dedicated to women’s clothes, accessories and shoes so yay us! And on the top floor, it’s split between the kids and mens section. I considered getting a few pieces from the kids section and maybe a shirt from the mens. But there were sooooo many people and it was quite tricky to look for new clothes. The store is huge but can you imagine 1,500 people searching through racks of clothes? I told myself to save shopping on the third floor for next time. However, considering that there was a 20% discount, I knew I couldn’t leave the place empty handed. I got a pair of comfy shorts and a few clips to calm my baby hair, haha!
Apart from talented DJ’s, entertaining hosts and friendly staff, there was one person who I was particularly happy to see. Musical lovers would probably know her as Gigi from Miss Saigion. Its funny how we were about to leave and I heard someone say ‘the West End’ making me want to run to the stage. Rachel Ann Go of the 2014 Miss Saigon cast sang Royals by Lorde and Break Free by Ariana Grande.
One thing I completely forgot to do was take pictures of the prices! But looking it up I found that a basic jersey top is PHP299, dresses range from about PHP1000 to PHP3000, and jeans range from about PHP400 to PHP2000. Not bad eh? Basic or trending, H&M’s got you covered. Its halloween next week and christmas in a few months. Shopping for the perfect costume and cute sweaters will be a walk in the park!
That’s about it! Be sure to drop by H&M at SM Megamall. From what I heard, a few fashionistas stayed overnight for the grand opening which happened last Friday, October 17. But I’m pretty sure that it’s no longer jam-packed. So happy shopping!
