I absolutely love the beach! I can’t imagine a summer with no sand, no sea and no sun. As I prepare to hit the beaches in the coming weeks, I started searching for the perfect bathing suit, the fashionable cover ups and other accessories that will complete my summer outfits. All in preparation for fun in the sun.
But, we must never forget that amidst the fun and excitement, the heat of the sun is harsh and damaging to the skin. I always pack my suitcase with sun hats, rash tops, body suits, sunglasses ready to fight off the striking rays of the sun. I also take along with me some products that are must haves when going on a beach trip.
I consider my skin to be very sensitive. I don’t try too much products because I easily get allergic reactions to a lot of them. I’ve been using Banana Boat kids SPF 50 for my body and Coppertone Water babies SPF 50 for my face since I could remember. I find these 2 product to be very effective. It’s so thick and sticky that rinsing it off can pose as a challenge. With that said, I also use Clinique Broad Spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen and the SPF 50 face cream, it’s very light on the skin and is definitely not as sticky as the Banana Boat Kids. The only thing is, Clinique products can be quite costly so I choose when to use them. Adding to my list is the Beach Hut hair and scalp sunblock, I spray this to my hair if I’ll be out in the sun all day t o prevent my hair from being dry and brittle. Of course, i also bring a lip balm. At present , Nivea is what i use, but i do like lipsmacker, blistex and the body shop lip balms too.
There is no BEST product for all of us to choose, it’s all a matter of preference and affordability. What’s important is we protect ourselves from the Sun. Believe me when i say, you will regret unwanted and unplanned sunburns. They hurt so bad!
