I couldn’t possibly miss out writing about the food we ate on our trip. My good friend, ate Angela told me to pick the restaurants carefully. She was right- we had a taste of both delicious meals and foods that are not satisfying at all. These food finds only talk about the good, so here are places to look for if you’re going to London anytime soon.
Unfortunatley, we did not have enough time to spend some time having afternoon tea and eating scones, but that is something I recommend doing. After all, Brits are known for afternoon tea. Besides that, another must try is Fish and Chips. And just to remind you, chips are actually French fries! I happened to have a plate all to myself at the Southwark Tavern near the Borough market. I loved mine, and eating it with vinegar made it twice as good. And if you like tartar sauce more, they serve that as well. You will gobble it all up for sure.Speaking of the Borough market, I happened to have the best milkshake I ever tasted (not exaggerating). My brother Rico got a vanilla milkshake, I got chocolate, and my brother Renzo got strawberry ice cream. It is sooooo rich and thick that even if you’re full, you’ll find yourself craving for more. Moving on, by the Windsor castle we ate at Nando’s for lunch. This restaurant was actually recommended by my cousin Sarah who went to London a few months before us. She was right! Their chicken tastes great and the sides added complete the dish. I was so happy finding out that rice came as a side! My brothers and I ended up eating two plates each instead of one. By the way, my mom told me that peri peri chicken in the Philippines is even better. I can’t wait to try that out! In my first post on London, I mentioned the department store Harrods. My Lolo told us to try the steak place there. I know I’m only supposed to talk about the good, which it was but wasn’t worth the money. The food was way too expensive. Only if you’re craving steak and happen to be near Harrods, that is where to go. However, the desserts in Harrods made our stomachs smile. The red velvet cupcakes are a must! And anything chocolate too! Here’s what we got. One last thing- the Big British breakfast Sandwich in Starbucks is the best on-the-go breakfast I’ve had.I hope I did not make your tummy growl because mine sure did. If you’re going to London, try out some of these foods and see if we have the same taste buds haha 🙂 cheerio!
