The penultimate destination of our trip to Europe was Florence! I was most excited about seeing the Leaning Tower of Pisa in the country side, and shopping all over the place. Its only when we went there I realized that Florence has such rich history. Luckily, our tour guide named Silvia showed us around. Florence is a very small city, and just by walking you’ll be able to tour around the whole town!
Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (Our Lady of the Flower) is the 4th largest cathedral in the world
Sadly, the door below is a replica. However, the real one took 27 years to complete!
I had no idea Pinocchio is from Florence. We saw this shop from outside and noticed how fun and colorful it was.
The leaning tower of Pisa was a real treat. Although extremely hot that day, we were able to appreciate the tower and its surroundings. Its very common that when tourists come to see the building, they take a picture holding it up. We tried to do something a little different (but failed lol) Pisa is a must visit!
We also visited a medieval town called San Gimignano which is preserved really well. There, you can have a walk around and find something to munch on.
Fact- my all time favorite high-end store is Prada. I saw two of the biggest Prada outlets just outside Florence and it was heaven! What I loved the most is that the products they sold were much cheaper than regular stores. My dad even got a few things haha :).
I told you Florence is small, as well as Tuscany. I can’t believe my Europe posts are coming to an end very soon. But, there’s a lot more stuff I have planned coming your way.
