With a bit of luck and the help of Les’ Moda DIY Sunnies, I was able to find a store online called Il’ Fiore. They sell many different kinds of flower crowns. I’ve been looking for some nice ones for months! Having two days of the SM style lab workshop, i decided to immediately wear two of the three flower crowns I bought. As I said before, flower crowns is a very popular trend especially when it was spotted in a lot of people wearing them at Coachella. I’m not big on arts and crafts and DIY’s, but seeing these flower crowns in such great quality simply just makes me want to try making some myself. I love how the ones I have are very different from each other; the color, the size and the vibe you get while simply looking at each one.
On the third day of Style Lab at SM Southmall, I used a flower crown called Alexandra. It has absolutely no leaves and the flowers are way bigger than normal. At first i thought they would look awkward on me having those big flowers and all, but it doesn’t hurt to try! Coincidentally, I had a dress with the exact floral print as the crown! A perfect match, its like the crown was made just for me. Then of course, i just kept it simple with nude platforms, I wanted everyone to pay attention to my flower crown and nothing else.
The next day at Style Lab-SM North Edsa, to match with my Dorothy flower crown, I paired it with a mullet skirt that I borrowed from my aunt who happens to be the same size as me. I don’t own any mullet skirts or dresses yet, I still have to find the right one. My relatives were teasing me about how I looked like a fairy, and i should just add wings to go with it. Well I don’t think so, that’s just their opinions 🙂 Anyways, I was assigned to dress ‘Boho’ for that day and I’m pretty confident I achieved that look with the ethnic necklace, wooden bracelet and tan wedges I paired it with.
There’s one more flower crown that I’m dying to wear, and that one sure makes me look more like a ‘fairy princess’. I’ll post up an OOTD soon. If you are interested in flower crowns as well, check out their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/ilfiorecrafts. My photographer friend told me she wants to have a photoshoot with these flower crowns as she is really into them as well. We will be experimenting a lot with these head pieces so watch out!
