Before I talk about the actual event, let's take a moment to appreciate my prom dress. I initially thought of wearing yellow but my designer said the yellow fabric he had would make me look old. He then suggested the opposite: black and gold. I was sold on the gold glitter and Swarovski crystals. And when my friends asked me to describe my prom dress i'd always reply shining, shimmering, splendid. I didn't feel like a disco ball; I felt like a city of stars in human form. And yes, maybe it was extra but it wasn't tacky. So who's the man…

Paris in the spring time is nothing short of beautiful. We only stayed there for two nights. It was pretty chill because we did all the touristy stuff back in 2014. Something new, however, was the fact that we watched the Moulin Rouge! Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed inside. I swear, that's the most extravagant piece of theatre i've ever watched. Before heading back to Manila, my lolo asked for bellota ham as pasalubong. Although i'm not a big fan of ham, I really liked this one. However, my favorite was the Spanish chorizo. We did nothing but stroll around the city and eat, but any trip to Paris is…

I underestimated the power of mother nature until I went to Scotland. Here's the thing: even though I've spent a third of my life in an ice rink, I can't stand cold weather. It's so bad that even if it's 90 degrees outside, i'll be cuddling with a blanket in our car. I could handle London and knew that Edinburgh was going to be a bit colder. Little did I know that Scotland's weather is nothing close to sunny skies. My friend even sent me a snapchat saying "That's literally my favorite place in the world! Enjoy!" I replied with "It's beautiful here but it's…

We probably spent a total of three hours in Bath. But in that short time, we visited the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and walked around the area. Here are a few photos - enjoy!

Three years ago I blogged about my summer holiday in Europe with my trusty Lumix camera. (I still cringe at the photos and my writing style). Soon after, I graduated from automatic settings and switched to manual. I am now one of those tourist who carries a chunky DLSR camera everywhere I go; It’s hassle but it’s worth it. We went to London this spring break for a slightly different reason than just going on holiday – we went for university tours! *que anxiety* I don’t know where I’ll be studying but I guess the UK is an option. My parents said they’re okay with…

MOTHER KNOWS BEST. I'd like to thank my mom for forcing me to join summer programs for the past two years. Each one had it's value and for some reason, i'd always step out of a campus a little wiser than I was before. The real question was "why study during your summer holiday?" After my first program was over last year, I was grateful for having been put into a summer course. "This is not summer camp" said the director at our orientation. Indeed it wasn't. Exactly like high school, we stressed out over homework and even had some sleepless nights - but the…
