Merry Christmas to everyone back home! Before the clock strikes twelve here in Seattle, I just wanted to share what we did at Whistler. Unfortunately, my hands aren't adaptable to the cold weather so excuse the lack of pictures. In our short stay, we managed to ski for two days, ice skate for two, and snowmobile for one. Despite it being my third time visiting Whistler, it's still so foreign to me given that we live in sunny (sometimes rainy) manila. Us Villavicencio's have a jam-packed schedule, and this was only the first of four stops. I'd like to…

Skiing day one, done! Unfortunately, I couldn't blog yesterday because I spent my night finalizing uni applications! Two more applications to go :) Anyway, I spent my morning sleeping, afternoon skiing, and evening ice skating. I don't think i'll ever adjust to the cold weather, but hey, we had so much fun today! While on the chair lift, I asked our ski instructor "is it always this gloomy?" (The sky was grey; I had to ask) What followed was a long pause and a very long reply. He said that it's all based on perspective, and that skiers would actually consider it as perfect whether conditions. I…

My brothers turned twelve today and honestly, I felt that they were twelve at the start of the year. I predicted that they'd be taller than me by thirteen but they've been growing non-stop. Their voices are lower, stomachs flatter, one of them even has gainz, and they're getting more anti-social by the minute. What I'm thankful for, however, is the fact that they're never ashamed to greet me walking along the hallways at school. I keep bragging about my little bros (I should stop oops) but they've grown to become little gentlemen! 12 years ago, I received the best Christmas gift ever: these two monsters. Apologies…

Had a pretty slow morning but picked up the pace when we went Christmas shopping - we're halfway there! We got Christmas lights and finally got to decorate our tree. It was more stressful that I expected, and it still looks quite odd. On the bright side, our Christmas tree is pinoy-themed! My favorite ornament is Santa Claus in a barong carrying fruits. I made more cookies today and it finally went well, played with the babies, and had i-sushi for dinner (again). Unfortunately, I just finished my school revision and this schedule is not working out for me. I can't continue to sleeping at…

Two of the six batches arrived today, and our home already feels so crowded. It's glad to see them though, I finally have a study buddy, playmates, and little babies to look over. I woke up at 11 (still not good, i'm working on it) and had adobo for breakfast because Filipino food is always a good option. While my family left the house for errands, I stayed home cleaning  and working! The Pomodoro technique really works and I  wish I used it sooner. My parents came home with a Christmas tree but we aren't decorating till tomorrow! And i'm finally off watering duty now…

My goal of sleeping at 10pm every night did not go very well, and consequently, I woke up a little past twelve! Today was pretty uneventful. I had spam and rice for breakfast, talked to a few people back home, had frequent rest breaks, and finally finished my theatre paper. I’m currently editing photos for our school’s magazine! Tomorrow is when the real fun begins. The rest of our extended family should be arriving with in the next few days, meaning there will be chaos in the Lago Household. See you soon vvvfambam :)
