My dad claimed that he will "never get sick of Japanese food", and I finally discovered why this bold statement holds some truth. Earlier in the year, I said that I didn't know anyone who doesn't like Japanese food; it's because there are so many kinds. In Tokyo, we had yakitori, sushi and soba. This time around, we ate completely different things that are all within walking distance from one another. So if you find yourself in Namba, here are five places that will save you from an empty stomach from morning till midnight.   BREAKFAST. If I could only get one thing from this cafe…

LET'S TALK HERSHEY. For all the chocolate lovers out there, Hershey, Pennsylvania is definitely a place worth visiting. Some may argue that the theme park is the main attraction. However, were already satisfied with eating chocolate for two days. So here's my recommendation:           1.Visit the hershey theme park for half a day or so. It's a step above Disney since there are quite a few roller coasters to choose from. Within the theme park is a waterpark too.       2. Make your own chocolate bar at Hershey's candy world. This is how an actual hershey factory line works! I…

I'M BACK WITH THE FOOD FINDS SERIES. For some reason, last year's visit to NYC lacked in glorious food pictures. But maybe it was a sign because this time around, we ate like champions. It's not every day we explore fine dining restaurants in New York. This experience made me step out of my picky eating habits as I finally put seafood and veggies in my mouth. Read on to learn more about four incredible food spots in NYC.   We ate here twice in a row for my moms birthday. Topped off with its signature sauce, there's nothing like a good juicy steak from Peter…

The absence of sweets in this particular food finds series is all because of my lenten sacrifice. Silly me gave up chocolate not realizing that Sydney is home to maltesers, tim-tams and the Lindt Chocolate cafe. But in a time of darkness, there is always light (wow deep), and we found ourselves munching on steaks, corn and seafood. It seems as if my stomach was always full in Australia. Phillip's Foote This is a "cook your own steak" restaurant. The steps are easy: (1) Choose your cut. (2) Season. (3) Pick your sides. (4) Grill. The place is ALWAYS busy, but the food is worth the…

My snapchat story during our trip to Japan was mainly food related. Yes, I was trying to make people jealous HAHA. Personally, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like Japanese food because it’s just that good. So here are a few places we found around Tokyo.  NEW TORIGIN We actually ate here twice in our whole trip. This should come to no surprise because it is hands down, the best yakitori I’ve ever had in my life. My brothers can agree with me on this. In total, the eight of us devoured 63 sticks of chicken, chicken skin, chicken wings, chicken liver and quail eggs on…

I finally put my photography skills to the test when my best friend, Allyzza asked me to take pictures for her school project: the Caribbean Special. It is a custom made, cuban-inspired sandwich, which will be sold from February 9 to 12 at the ICA entrepreneurial fair (I may or may not be advertising hehe). Immediately, Allyzza and I both came up with the idea of a picnic. As they say, "great minds think alike" ;). From that point onwards we went to the drawing board, gathering countless pegs on Pinterest, finding a nice location, thinking of what props to use and even telling what our models…
