Excited to revisit Pier 39 and Napa Valley, we packed our bags ready to explore not so sunny San Francisco once more. This time around, five days felt like three because in addition to having two dinners a night with relatives and/or friends, we put our tourist caps on and made our way to new places such as the Palace of Fine Arts, Lombard Street, Saulsalito and even Alcatraz (that deserves its own post though). There are only two food finds for this trip and they are Soma in Saulsalito, and R+D Kitchen in Napa Valley. Be sure to get the vongole and Greek-style chicken respectively. Lastly, I took…

Paris in the spring time is nothing short of beautiful. We only stayed there for two nights. It was pretty chill because we did all the touristy stuff back in 2014. Something new, however, was the fact that we watched the Moulin Rouge! Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed inside. I swear, that's the most extravagant piece of theatre i've ever watched. Before heading back to Manila, my lolo asked for bellota ham as pasalubong. Although i'm not a big fan of ham, I really liked this one. However, my favorite was the Spanish chorizo. We did nothing but stroll around the city and eat, but any trip to Paris is…

I underestimated the power of mother nature until I went to Scotland. Here's the thing: even though I've spent a third of my life in an ice rink, I can't stand cold weather. It's so bad that even if it's 90 degrees outside, i'll be cuddling with a blanket in our car. I could handle London and knew that Edinburgh was going to be a bit colder. Little did I know that Scotland's weather is nothing close to sunny skies. My friend even sent me a snapchat saying "That's literally my favorite place in the world! Enjoy!" I replied with "It's beautiful here but it's…

I'm going to start with Ben's Cookies. I first discovered them when my auntie went to London a few months before I did, asking a very important question to our family: "Who want's Ben's cookies or Famous Amos?" She returned with the two cookie brands and whilst Famous Amos became my new study snack, Ben's cookies surprised me with its chewiness despite being stuck in a suitcase for a day or so. Without question, our family was going to visit this famous cookie place when we visited the U.K.    Another no-brainer food spot to visit is Borough Market. My brothers and I were excited to drink…

My dad claimed that he will "never get sick of Japanese food", and I finally discovered why this bold statement holds some truth. Earlier in the year, I said that I didn't know anyone who doesn't like Japanese food; it's because there are so many kinds. In Tokyo, we had yakitori, sushi and soba. This time around, we ate completely different things that are all within walking distance from one another. So if you find yourself in Namba, here are five places that will save you from an empty stomach from morning till midnight.   BREAKFAST. If I could only get one thing from this cafe…

LET'S TALK HERSHEY. For all the chocolate lovers out there, Hershey, Pennsylvania is definitely a place worth visiting. Some may argue that the theme park is the main attraction. However, were already satisfied with eating chocolate for two days. So here's my recommendation:           1.Visit the hershey theme park for half a day or so. It's a step above Disney since there are quite a few roller coasters to choose from. Within the theme park is a waterpark too.       2. Make your own chocolate bar at Hershey's candy world. This is how an actual hershey factory line works! I…
