Ahhhh finally its summer! My last year of middle school has whizzed past me so quickly. I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through the year! I am so excited of what summer has in store for me and my family. There are places to visit and things to do but the rainy season has arrived. I told myself that this summer, I will not stay in bed and stare at my computer screen all day. And hey, when it’s bed weather don’t you just feel like reading a book? So heres one I read called Everyday by David Levithan.

My school friends Gaea and Miles recommended this book when I was on the lookout for good reads. They told me that Everyday has a very interesting concept which got me hooked in an instant. The story is told by ‘A’, a person who borrows a body for one day. He switches bodies everyday and he/she can be just about anyone with different personalities and backgrounds. This novel is a love story where ‘A’ is in the body of ‘Justin’ and meets his girlfriend ‘Rhiannon’. He fell in love with her that day and did everything to get to know her after that. David Levithan’s imagination has reached new heights with this book. You get more and more curious as you read through the pages.

Stepping out of my comfort zone was quite tricky at first as I usually stick to realistic fiction. But now, Everyday is a book up there with my favorites. I really recommend having a go at reading this novel because its something different. No surprise here, I give it 5 stars out of 5 :). If you have any other book recommendations, please tell me! I plan to read a lot over the summer and do lots of other crazy things…
