Before partying or anything else, studying is the most important thing to do. Summer break is coming up but that means we also have to review for our end of year exams. In my case, summer is no where near but we have an easter vacation coming up. Almost everyone hates spending their saturday afternoon reviewing for their tests but in the end I always feel guilty if I don’t do what I’m supposed to.
Meet my study table! Although it doesn’t match my room, this miniature sized table is the best way for me to read and write my reviewers. I find that sitting down while studying actually gets you to do some work. Unlike lying on your bed which just makes you fall a sleep, and that’s happened to me many times. I always have my planner, pencil case, reviewers and books when I study for an up coming test. And lets face it, your desk is never that neat when you review. Books and papers always ends up to cover your whole table until you cant see it anymore.
With any subject, I always like to have something to scribble on. If you’re like me who learns by writing, a notebook or dry erase board is needed to get things stuck in your head. But we are all different and there are other ways to studying like reading out loud, and I know a lot of people who get to remember things that way.
I know I am very forgetful, so I have a special dry erase board to note down the homework and tests that are coming up. Even though I also write them down in my planner, I like to have my board sitting on the side of my desk to act as reminders. This also shows me how much time I have to spend on my school work and the days I should do them.
This week was over flowing with tests and assessments and next week there will be a whole lot more. I feel great when I know I did everything I could to get good results, and it certainly pays off. Good luck to those who are taking their final exams, exit that twitter page and sit in front of those textbooks! If you ask yourself ‘did I do my best?’ and answer with an honest ‘yes’, there is nothing to worry about. Have a geeky weekend everyone 🙂
