It’s been about three weeks since we last stepped foot in Australia and luckily, the separation anxiety is has died down. I do, however, have a gut feeling that soon enough we’ll be finding ourselves back in the land down-under exploring a new city (possibly Melbourne). However, I’m trailing off topic. Touring Australia isn’t complete without a visit the kangaroos and koalas. Hence, we paid a visit to the Sydney Zoo and Aquarium.
Apparently, koalas are now considered pests because of their large population. Don’t be fooled by they’re cuteness though, they’re considered as grumpy grandpas.
If you try to mess with them, they’re vicious.
For some odd reason, my Lolo names all of the kangaroos “Joey”. Here’s a baby one 🙂
The only complaint I have about the aquarium is that it’s an insanely long tour. Eventually, we decided to leave halfway through. Nonetheless, we admired the sea life, getting us hyped about the fishing trip coming up in a few days time.
In all honesty, I don’t classify myself as an animal lover. I just find it fascinating that this country is home to hundreds of unique species. I’m sure you’ve all learned about sustainability and protecting ecosystems at some point, so consider this as an animal appreciation post. ‘Til next time 🙂
