What an experience I had last weekend at Clark, Pampanga. Going with me to the International Music Festival 7107 were my close friends (and family) Ysabela and Bettina. As I mentioned earlier on, I’m not very up to date with music so going to this was something different. The line-up consisted of a few local bands and DJ’s, Empire of the Sun, Kendrick Lamar, Kaskade and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Day 1 we arrived pretty late when the sun was down. We came to take a glimpse of what it looked like and catch Kaskade on the main stage. By the way, isn’t it cool how they set it up to look like a sun? 🙂 We met our friends Mica, Alexa and my cousin Veeno there too! After jumping and screaming for a few hours or, my feet especially started aching and I fell asleep as soon as we got back to our hotel. We were certainly going back for more.
On the second day we came a little earlier, just to reach the sunlight. There were A LOT more people this time around. Tip for music festivals? Bring a mat! They really come in handy. Although there was a VIP area for us to lounge around in, we found that staying on ground was way better.
Credits to Bettina for all the Polaroids! Again we met up with the same people and were introduced to Bettina’s friends Santi, Claudia and Sabina. Because I’m the shy type, I didn’t talk much that day haha! That night, we opted staying behind the control booth away from the crowd and ended up talking about the most random things instead. (Well I didn’t talk, just listened)

Although not knowing most of the songs played, the 2-day event was great! I’m pretty sure I’ll enjoy it more when I’m a bit older. 7107 was the first music festival I’ve ever been to. This is one I certainly won’t forget. Thanks especially to Ysabela and Bettina for coming with me and making that weekend a memorable one. My next adventure awaits :).
