I'M BACK WITH THE FOOD FINDS SERIES. For some reason, last year's visit to NYC lacked in glorious food pictures. But maybe it was a sign because this time around, we ate like champions. It's not every day we explore fine dining restaurants in New York. This experience made me step out of my picky eating habits as I finally put seafood and veggies in my mouth. Read on to learn more about four incredible food spots in NYC.   We ate here twice in a row for my moms birthday. Topped off with its signature sauce, there's nothing like a good juicy steak from Peter…

THE 7-YEAR-OLD-FASHIONISTA ME NEVER WOULD'VE ACCEPTED A T-SHIRT AND SHORTS ON A DAY OUT. Don't get me wrong; I still made an effort to dress well but lazy days kept appearing more often than it should have. However, a visit to the Met reinforced my passion for dressing up. Complete with dresses from top designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Dior, as well as unthinkable materials like plastic straws and crepe paper, manus x machina was definitely an exhibit worth visiting. Fascinated by the endless possibilities of couture fashion, we took about an hour just to get through everything. They had it all. And I wasn't kidding when I said I…

A DAY'S VISIT TO THIS TO THIS RUSTIC ISLAND WASN'T ENOUGH. Going Martha's Vineyard was like entering a storybook. What's so unique and special about this place is that there aren't any huge franchises or popular stores. Oh, and the famous movie Jaws was shot here too. It felt like an independent town in the middle of nowhere. From gingerbread houses, to hundreds of yachts and only one stoplight in the entire island, this place is definitely the good kind of different. And if Obama comes here on holiday, you know it's a good location to explore. As I said,…

"WE NEED AT LEAST A DAY TO EXPLORE THIS MUSEUM" said Cassandra (who by the way, was one of my room mates at a summer program - click here to read about it). Sharing photos from our visit to the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Music + Fashion + Modern Art? Count us in. Enjoy!

MOTHER KNOWS BEST. I'd like to thank my mom for forcing me to join summer programs for the past two years. Each one had it's value and for some reason, i'd always step out of a campus a little wiser than I was before. The real question was "why study during your summer holiday?" After my first program was over last year, I was grateful for having been put into a summer course. "This is not summer camp" said the director at our orientation. Indeed it wasn't. Exactly like high school, we stressed out over homework and even had some sleepless nights - but the…

STYLE POST TITLES SO ARE DIFFICULT TO COME UP WITH. Cess (who, by the way has a new blog url and design cesstan.com) is way more creative than me when it comes to writing about these things. See what she has to say about how our outfits resemble hot & cold here. On the other hand I chose to name this one structured because the black framed window and white wall satisfied my OC- ness. I mean come on, who doesn't love straight lines? Structure is great. It's why I chose to study english literature instead of language, why I take so long to come…
